National Park Ambassadors

They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

Thank you, All CLNP Rangers.Rangers! Thank you ALL very much for the great job you are doing at my favorite park. I grew up in Southern Oregon, and I visit the park at least twice/year. Every time I encounter one of you, and the park volunteers, I enjoy wonderful conversations. With each conversation, I learn more about the park, the geology of Mt. Mazama, the wildlife, and park history. Thank you all for what you do! Kind regards, Steve McLaughlin ~ Seabeck WA and Union Creek OR

Thank you, Any and all Rangers.Rangers, Thank you ALL very much for the great job you are doing at my favorite park. I visit the park on average twice a month in all seasons, and every time I encounter one of you, and the park volunteers, I enjoy wonderful conversations. Thank you, All Park Rangers.I have liked and respecedt Park Rangers all of the life. My first idea as a sub-teenage boy was to go to the University of Montana and become a Park Ranger, but I later decided on a liberal arts education. In my adult life (I'm 89), I have visited several parks and worked with the Rangers at Grand Canyon on a documentary for the Discovery tv series in the middle 1960's. I was so impressed with those people! I feel so fortunate to have had that experience and to have visited several beautiful parks in different parts of the country. I hope one day before too long, before I die, to get to Yosemite. I send you all best wishes.
