National Park Ambassadors

They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

Thank you, none in particular.Whenever I visit Gettysburg, it's always reassuring to see a park ranger. I know they are there if I need information, and several times I have. They are always friendly and helpful. Sometimes, they just give a friendly 'hello'.

Thank you, Don't Know .The Park rangers there have always been pleasant and helpful. I got stuck in muck soil (I called it quicksand) and it was quite an experience.. my friend's husband helped me out, but I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the Park Rangers came and how nice they were. They also told me to that I qualified for a handicapped pass because I had knee surgery and used a cane and was over age 62. Thank you for all you do both for us human and the wildlife there!!!

Thank you, All Park Rangers.I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving. You all do so much to make our parks so great. Since my first park, visited when I was 5, that my father took me too. I met this older guy(seemed to me anyway) and he was so polite and told me stories about the park and showed me animals and birds. We (my father, the park ranger and I) spent about 4 hours going all over the park. I learned so much and I just loved the Park. Since then I have traveled to all the 50 United States and I always make time to visit the National and State parks. I have great memories. Since I am an old fart at age 73 now, but still travel and visit parks. I submitted part of my Mandatory Distribution Money to go to the Parks. I try to encourage people to visit our parks, speak with the rangers, enjoy the outdoors and help money wise to maintain our parks. THANKS for your great work and have given me FANTASTIC memories!

Thank you, All Rangers. In last few years we have had the opportunity and privilege to visited many National Parks in the SW areas and also in the areas of Colorado, and the Dakotas just to name a few. Have always enjoyed and appreciated our contact with every Ranger we have talked and listened to. All of them appear to glad and enjoy sharing their knowledge with us. Our thanks go out to all of them.
