About the Park

Running over a total of 1,000 miles scattered across 10 states, the California National Historic Trail traces one of the greatest mass migrations in American history in the mid-1800s as over 250,000 emigrants traveled westwards towards the promises of golden fields and rich farmlands of California.

About the Park

Follow the footsteps of the Corps of Discovery, also known as the Lewis and Clark Expedition, as they traveled across the country to find a water route to the Pacific Ocean.
