Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, Park Rangers. My first visit to national Park with skyline Drive, which was very memorable over the years. My husband and I have visited there many of times. We vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountain with friends and family. Within the last year and a half my husband and I have visited over 15 national parks.
I’d like to thank all the men and women in the national Park service for all that they do to ensure that we have these beautiful parks to enjoy.

Thank you, Unknown. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge with me. I am older and had to rest that day. We met shortly after you and your fiance had moved to the park. Several months later, there was a government shut down. I thought of you and hope that you have been okay.
