Perfect place for desert stargazing

We spent a great weekend here, and while we loved exploring the unique landscape during the day (which wasn't prohibitively hot, even for the desert in August), we really went for the stargazing. Because there's so little light pollution you'll likely see more in Joshua Tree's night skies than you ever have before--and it's truly a humbling experience. If you're the kind of person who wants to spend the night staring at the stars and talking cosmology with a few good friends, this is the park for you.
