Half Dome minutes before the final ascent up the cables

After we (a family of 4, husband & our kids, ages 15 & 17) won the lottery to hike up to Half Dome, we were ecstatic! My husband & I have hiked up Half Dome before 18 years ago, but our kids always wanted to. We started early at 5 am and didn't return to Curry Village until 10pm. My husband's knees were not cooperating during the hike down. Luckily the kids made it down by 7:30pm and ordered our dinner before the Curry cafeteria closed!!!
It was an awesome accomplishment as it was also my husband's birthday!!
