This goes out to Park Rangers generally. I have never yet visited a national park, whether historic or natural, where I haven't been totally impressed by the knowledge and skills of the Park Rangers. They are like docents for the treasures of our nation. I am so grateful for the work that you do and the kindness and interest you show toward park visitors. You really deserve to be commended!!!
I want to say thank you to all the individuals in the Ranger Service, as well as those who maintain our parks, for the jobs they do every day preserving the wildlife and natural world for the enjoyment of the general public. It's important that the experiences of hiking, river rafting, camping and enjoying pristine surroundings be available for people to enjoy as children and as adults. Shenandoah, and other national parks, helped mold my appreciation of our living earth as a child and carried over into my adulthood.
I want to thank you for all you do. Your efforts are not overlooked. Hiking and enjoying the outdoors are a part of my life and we are thankful for that.
When I visited Big Meadow's Visitors Center and inquired about possibly hiking trails, the gentleman that helped us was kind and knowledgeable about the trails. He did a great job pulling out maps, highlighting the trails, suggesting which way to go on the Hawksbill loop, and gave us more information about White Oak falls as well. It was wonderful to gain this information. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hawksbill Loop and the Summit thanks to his recommendation!
Ranger Katie was knowledgeable and friendly! She totally made our visit.
The interpreters at Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument are amazing! I've been on this tour at least three times and it's always just as fresh, interesting, and engaging as the first. Thank you for working so hard to make visitors' experiences great!
The Shenandoah National Park Rangers are so friendly, helpful and kind. They love to chat as much as I do! <3
