Jan (I think? ..pic is hard to read her badge)

It was so nice to see a Park Ambassador eating lunch at the close to top of Mt Rainer (8k ft I think). I thought she was a ranger, but she explained she was an ambassador/ volunteer. We had a lovely chat about the view, as we waited for the clouds to blow over so we could see the top of Rainer. Which it did after e 30 minutes, as we sat together discussing the formations. Then suddenly she said there was a rarely seen bird five feet in front of us on the edge of the snow bank. I never would have noticed, not to mention known how rare our sighting had been. That was special, as was our chat. I have visited over 30 plus national parks over my lifetime, a few multiple time. It was so nice to have this experience. I left her with a nice picture of her eating to remember the moment.
