America’s Rivers and Trails Systems Turn 50

Tuesday, October 2, 2018

The National Trails and National Wild & Scenic Rivers systems were created on October 2, 1968. As they celebrate 50 years, the National Park Foundation is excited to continue to partner with many of these special places. In honor of the anniversary, the Foundation is funding 20 projects to help enhance national trails and wild and scenic rivers and provide increased public access to them. We’ve also pulled together tons of ideas for ways to celebrate these magnificent public lands.

This year, #FindYourWay along a river or trail as you #FindYourPark in celebration!
