National Park Ambassadors

They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

Thank you, Martin Lynch.Aloha and much love to the park staff on Maui. My family has visited Haleakala many times over the last 20 years and still make a point to come to both sides of the park each year. Last May we brought 3 other couples, and they’re still raving about their experience.

Thank you, Redwood Ambassadors.I want to thank the Redwood National Park Visitors Center in Crescent City, California. I live here where the redwoods meet the sea, and often have visitors of friends and family to this scenic area. I can always depend on all the Redwood Park Ambassadors and Rangers to supply my visitors with trail maps, informative pamphlets, and background information to enhance their visit. We have enjoyed ranger or ambassador led low tide walks around tidepools, night walks to observe bats, and trail guides through the redwoods. I learn more about the amazing natural environment right outside my door on every visit, and my guests leave appreciating the wonder of the great outdoors. Thank you, Park Ambassadors and Rangers for all that you do to educate us all in the appreciation of our incredible natural beauty!
