I just got home from my 2nd experience with being a campground host at Shenandoah N.P in VA. The park is amazing and the campgrounds I volunteered in (Matthew's Arm and Lewis Mtn) were both really beautiful: spacious sites surrounded by trees and some terrific hiking experiences nearby. The best part of the whole experience was working with the Rangers. They are all extremely professional, generous, and kind-hearted. Their love for the Park shines through and they all are so devoted to enhancing the visitor's experience as much as they can. A special shout-out to Elizabeth Printz, Lead Ranger at Matthews Arm Campground. Her leadership abilities, personable style and obvious dedication to the Park made being a camphost there an amazing and fun experience!
