Sorry I don't recall the rangers' names ( there were two of them), but I was in Yosemite in August 2016 when I saw a notice of a ranger led hike to the top of Sentinel Dome, to watch the sunset over El Capitan at the exact same time of the full moonrise in the opposite direction over Gray's Peak.
I got injured by one of my students, and as a result, I have spent five years recovering from a traumatic brain injury. I became part of a scouting troop, and forest preserves became a sanctuary from all the loud sounds that triggered my PTSD. Hiking trails became a way to rebuild my endurance. I'm so grateful that places like these exist. They became a safe haven for healing. Thank you for providing such a wonderful resource.
Thank you for all you do for our Parks
Thank you for keeping our National Parks safe. For being an information source for my future travels. I watch several Vanlife YouTube channels who always say that the Park Rangers and employees/volunteers are very helpful resources of information. I look forward to visiting several parks in the very near future.

Your passion for your positions with the National Park Service at Acadia National Park were quite evident when my husband and I were there in early October. We actually crossed paths with you along the Shore Path one evening. You were very kind and very enthusiastic about your service as rangers. We learned a great deal from both of you. We could hear in your voice and your words YOUR personal commitment to how you each serve the public and help us understand what great resources we have in all the national parks.
I wish to thank ALL of the hard working men and women park rangers across the country for their efforts in maintaining our precious wild lands and service to visitors in the parks.
Thank you all so much for your service and stewardship.
The national parks are a vital resource for the environment as well as for the people and wildlife in the US. They obviously need people to work in them and your efforts are appreciated.
