Neil Smarjesse

Thank you Neil for the way you engage with the volunteers who help support the work at the park. Each time I show up for my volunteer shift you are quick to welcome everyone by name and actively seek suggestions from the group about potential projects. It feels like a true partnership.

All Park Ambassadors

I just finished a 5 week road trip visiting several National Parks. I want to express my appreciation to all those who continue to work to maintain these national wonders and encourage and educate the rest of us as to their value. I listed Yellowstone above but I found the same enthusiasm, knowledge, professionalism, and friendly at all the parks I visited: Theodore Roosevelt, Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Badlands, Devils Tower (Bear Lodge). I especially appreciated the acknowledgment of our Native Nations in the development, maintenance, and ownership of these areas.

All Park Employees & Volunteers

This year, we had the opportunity to visit 8 national parks. Even under difficult restrictions, shortages, and Covid protocols, every where we visited, we had smiling, helpful, and dedicated national park employees, ambassadors, and rangers, doing their very best to give each visitor a wonderful park experience. We are grateful for that, as national parks are our favorite place to be!

It was several years ago that I went to Bryce, which had been a goal since i was a teenager, and thanks to the excellent help and advice from the Rangers on duty, we had a fantastic hike among the Hoodoos and saw a great sunrise over the Park. It is my favorite park because of the good experience I had there. Thank You, thank you!
