Ambassadors

This was a couple years back, I had about two hours to decompress on a three day drive from Illinois to Washington state. Always take by lifetime np pass with me and had never been to Theodore Roosevelt NP. After a leisurely look at the visitor center, I asked the on duty ranger what "about an hour long" hike she recommended to get a taste of the park. She had a favorite and spoke glowingly of how much I would enjoy the hike. So of course I took off on the recommended hike and it was everything and more than promised.

Mr. Smith

This year gotta to go to Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon, Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens, Grand Canyon West Rim. All the rangers and assets were helpful and friendly. Next year planning more got the senior America the beautiful lifetime pass. Lovin' our parks and USA habitats and sanctuaries.

Harpers Ferry Team

Our 8 years of getting to make art for the Park, sharing our art demos with visitors, doing restorations and especially acquainting visitors with the Park at the information centers have literally been been the highlight of our retirement. We cannot thank you all enough for bringing this joy and your friendships into our lives! We couldn't have asked for more!

Rangers!

Dear Rangers and Volunteers, From the ranger who told us about litter and how it builds up and destroys beauty, when we were in Yosemite NP (I was 10). To the ranger on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon this summer… Thank you. You have been the finest history, environmental education, geology, flora, bird and fauna teachers with enduring stories (Bristlecone pine in Great Basin cut down to count rings!!!), compelling information of how food and water shaped human history - Denali NP, sensory experiences (Ponderosa Pine butterscotch in what was it?

Glacier Bay Ambassadors

I went to Glacier Bay in August this year and it was awesome, literally. I spent a few hours at the Park headquarters and met Ranger Tom VandenBerg (I think). Whoever it was was very informative and fascinating. Thanks to all the National Park rangers including Tom who do such a wonderful job helping to preserve wild places, habitats, and urban historical sites - looking at you Betty Reid Soskin.

Everyone

Thank you so much to every park employee, from the rangers to the camp hosts to trail volunteers for everything you do! Without you and your love and dedication our parks would be disasters. You are so appreciated!
