Because of YOU, our national Yellowstone Park is as great and as safe as it is. Thank you for your dedication to preserving and protecting the natural wonders and wildlife.
I grew up visiting and camping in National Parks. My Dad always pointed out things built by āthe CCC Boysā for us to admire. At 77 years old, my husband and I continue to visit and admire our National Parks. Thank you for your work in preserving these wonderful treasures!
Thank you for all that you do! We have visited over 50 of the parks so far... Your visibility as a Park Ranger and Information Person is what makes the US parks special! Visiting the parks is more interesting and fulfilling with the information and recommendations you share, from trails to wildlife and special features. Thank you for being a part of our national parks system!
Decades ago, on my first of many trips to Yellowstone, we pulled into Mammoth in mid-September. There was a herd of elk in one of the town's grassy areas. A man of, guessing, mid-fifties, who was dressed like a tourist cartoon character, had approached a bull with his small yapping dog to take pictures from a close distance. Due to his size and shape, it is safe to say the tourist was not fleet of foot. A gentle park ranger got the man's attention. He instructed the man to retreat, get back into his car,, and explained the elk was " ... not friendly like your dog".
Thank you for all you do to protect the national parks, educate us , find trails to hike, and make visiting national parks fun.
