Eric Nelson

Ranger Eric Nelson is my hero! From clearing paths to keep them safe. To leading inspirational walks in the valley, to always lending a hand when he sees a need. His esprit de corps would make Steven Mather proud!

Iā€™ve been visiting yearly with my dad and grandma since I was 5. Iā€™m now 26 and my grandma has since passed but she always loved the bison. She felt spiritually attached to their freedom and I was in awe the first time Iā€™ve seen them. Thank you to every park ranger for creating a safe haven for these animals. Thank you for saving a piece of earth for others to visit. Itā€™s my favorite park and I stand with you all during these trying times. Protect the bison, our parks and stay safe everyone.

Tim

All Park Rangers and Staff

Thank you for all you do to help preserve and protect our park. The Big Cypress National Preserve is such an important part of Floridaā€™s history and itā€™s vital habitat to more than 100 threatened and endangered species, including plants and animals found nowhere else on earth. With your help, this beautiful part of Florida can continue to be preserved. Not only do I thank you, but so do all the creatures and plants that call the preserve home.
