Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, Staff.Thank you all for caring about the park, the mission of the NPS, and each other in carrying out an important mission with only so much funding, aging facilities, and growing pressures. I began my career at Rocky as a seasonal ranger and retired from Rocky 38 years later after being in 7 other parks and a regional office. It’s a life of challenge and variety, and for families as well, but it will go deep within you. Thanks for being you.
