National Park Ambassadors

They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

Thank you, None.I had driven straight through for 12 hours from Chicago and upon pulling into Badlands NP I was greeted by the friendliest ranger and the most beautiful views. I wasn’t even planning on coming through until the following day but I figured I’d do a quick drive through… 4.5 hrs later and 80 pictures later I finally exited at the Pinnacles Ranger station and was greeted by a herd of bison. I could not have been more pleased with the brutal landscape and magic that is the Badlands. Thank you!
