Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, All Staff .I’m a suicide prevention & trauma therapist and I wanted to say thank you. I doubt many people understand the extremely difficult work the park rangers have which can include traumatic events whether it’s human related, animal related, or natural disasters.
There are not many therapists who treat therapists and so nature is often how the healers heal themselves.
That gift is priceless.
So sincerely, thank you.
