Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, Any Ranger at Glacier National Park.Thank you for having such a wonderful Ranger-led program and the awesome Native America Speaks program. My husband & I visited GNP twice and was so lucky to experience such terrific rangers. My nephew even became a Junior Ranger. We lost my husband in 2020 and some of my most cherished memories were in GNP.

Thank you, Margaret Murray.Thank you so much for your dedication to our National Parks. Such a treasure! When I visit any of our national parks, I sense how vulnerable to debasement it is, how dependent on support our precious parks are. You are invaluable to this gift of beauty and life in
nature. I admire you and support your work.

Thank you, Daniel Martinez.Hey Daniel: When I saw this opportunity by the National Park Foundation I immediately thought of you and all you’ve done for the NPS while serving as park historian at the World War !! Valor in the Pacific National Memorial at Pearl Harbor. My wife, Christy, and I enjoy seeing you on the History Channel from time to time and hope this note finds all well with you and your family. Again, thank you for your service and for sharing your knowledge on the Pacific Theater during WW II with all of the park visitors. Aloha, Jon
