National Park Ambassadors

They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

Give Thanks

No thank you is too small! We celebrate Park Heroes 24/7, 365 days a year.

Thank you, Everyone .I don't have a specific person or park in mind. All I can say is that, more often than not, the people who work at our National Parks do so because they love it. They love the parks or the stories surrounding it or the people with whom they interact. It does not go unnoticed. Thanks to everyone who works at our national parks! You are seen and treasured!!

Thank you, NPS Staff. As a retired NPS Park Ranger I cherish the memories of special places and wonderful people. NPS employees are dedicated to preservation and education and not the dollar. Times will get much tougher for conservation work soon and it is essential that we support and defend our parks, our heritage, and our collective legacy. Our parks might disappear with the stroke of a pen, or they can remain as positive testimony to our past, our culture, and our natural world. Thank you all for what you do and why. Thank you, All..Rangers were seemed like part of my family when I was growing up. Later, at the age of 70 I sat on the ground in Yellowstone to hear a Ranger's presentation of smells that the animals might take in as they hunted for their next meals. His talk was so lively I felt like the rest of the little kids enraptured and squeeling.
