Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, Park Guards. The guards at Fort Pickens found out I was disabled and surprised my wife and me with a park pass for us to use. Now we use it at Sam Houston State Park. This year we booked a trip to visit St. John, USVI. We can't wait to visit there in November.
Everyone at the parks is great. The knowledge of the parks is great.

Thank you, All National Park Rangers and Ambassadors.I have visited various national parks around the country. Without your hard work and dedication the parks would not be what they are. Your care to maintain and preserve the land. Your knowledge so visitors can learn about the protected area and wildlife. I have had a great experience visiting each park, learning something new. Gaining an appreciation for the park, its history and importance to this country. Thank you so much for everything you do for your park and the visitors!
