Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, Rangers. To all the Rangers at Lassen, thank you so much for all you do! I grew up going to Lassen and loved all the Ranger-led activities, the playable exhibits, and the well-maintained camping grounds. Lassen helped instill a love of nature, conservancy, and understanding of how we humans can better interact with the world. It truly is a gem of a park, and I still camp there once a year. It is also a great place to go on a motorcycle ride. Thanks for all you do and please know that you all make a difference.
