Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

National Park Ambassadors
They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Thank you, All of them.I would just like to thank all the rangers we have met during our trips to our countries parks. They are ALWAYS so helpful and a wealth on knowledge. Please keep up the good work as we plan on visiting a lot of parks over the next 10 yrs. (Just purchased a travel trailer, so here we come!)

Thank you, Any worker.I’ve been visiting yearly with my dad and grandma since I was 5. I’m now 26 and my grandma has since passed but she always loved the bison. She felt spiritually attached to their freedom and I was in awe the first time I’ve seen them. Thank you to every park ranger for creating a safe haven for these animals. Thank you for saving a piece of earth for others to visit. It’s my favorite park and I stand with you all during these trying times. Protect the bison, our parks and stay safe everyone.

Thank you, I don’t know!.I have the most beautiful photo (and memory) of my adult son who has a brain injury working hard to get his Junior Ranger badge. The volunteer, a young man, treated my son like he was the best thing since sliced bread. He quickly noticed how much effort my son put into the work. He gave him the little ceremony just like it was meant especially for him. It was the BEST. I wish I could send you the photo. I’m so grateful for the National Park system. My son’s wish is to visit them all. We made it to the Everglades in November. He buys a t-shirt and a pin from every one. He has his Passport book that travels with him.
