National Park Ambassadors

They maintain habitats, educate visitors, and preserve history. They're rangers, museum curators, engineers, volunteers, landscape architects, and fire fighters. They're the treasured stewards of our national parks. They're National Park Ambassadors.

Behind every national park is a team of ordinary people who are dedicated to maintaining the extraordinary. They may not wear capes, but they're heroes in our book. Meet the individuals who protect our parks and send thanks to an NPS employee or volunteer who made your last visit extra special.

Thank you, ?.Thank you so much for helping me navigate the best way to take an easy walk with my newborn daughter at the rim of Bryce Canyon. It was super helpful to understand where we could park and maximize our time together. I can't wait to bring her back when she is older and cover more ground!

Thank you, Anyone/everyone.Dear Park Ranger, I have visited many national parks and I never miss a chance to chat with a park ranger on my trips. I will stand in line to ask about favorite trails, animals to watch for, or any exciting happenings. Park rangers are an amazing fount of knowledge and are always willing to share. I am always grateful for your expertise and helpfulness and friendliness. I chose to write to Joshua Tree rangers because I have been there multiple times (from both the 29 palms and the south gates) and still always make time to talk to a ranger. Thank you for all you do and welcoming all us us in! Kristina Rosado Santa Clara, CA
